In the final three years of WWII the Churchill Tank fought in more actions than any other British tank. It was developed into numerous variants such as AVRE, Crocodile and Bridgelayer. In telling the Churchill's story from Dieppe onwards the author uses unpublished material to enlarge upon such actions as those fought by Kingforce at Alamein, the mad tank battalion of Steamrioller farm and the storming of the Argenta Gap.
