The Battle for Italy
Major-General Jackson is well placed to write this history of the Italian Campaign as he was on Eisenhower's staff for the planning of the Sicilian and Italian Campaigns, after which he went back to active duty and fought the winter battle on the Gagliano and in front of Cassino, he also fought throughout Alexander's ' Diadem ' offensive which broke the Gustav line. Not his own personal memoirs, but an analysis of both the Allied and Axis strategies.
