Warfare As A Whole
The main theme of this book is that nuclear weapons have changed ways in which wars are likely to be fought to an extent that it is not yet fully appreciated. It describes the different sorts of operations which the British army must be ready to conduct, from full-scale armoured warfare in Central Europe to less extensive campaigns in other parts of the NATO area or overseas, and to counter-insurgency and peace-keeping operations. It also decribes how the army should adapt itself to these tasks.
