Third Axis, Fourth Ally Romanian Armed Forces in the European War, 1941-45
Romania's war was complex, intriguing and significant - it was the third axis element on the continent, yet suffered the third highest Allied casualties from 1944 to 1945.
In spite of this unusual situation, Romania's role in the Second World War is largely unknown and un-researched and has, until now, gone unpublished. The opening of the National Archives has allowed the study of this fascinating topic, and this book can now present new perspectives on the war in Eastern Europe.
