Panzers In Finland / Wehrmachtin Panssarit Suomessa
Using a combination of excellent photographs and highly detailed text from German and Finnish sources, this book narrates the complete history of German Panzer and Sturmgeschütz units operating in Finland. Unsuitable terrain, planning mistakes and combat so much unlike the typical Blitzkrieg tactics usually associated with World War Two tank warfare, marked the use of armored units in Finland. For the first time in any language the author has recorded the history of a number German Panzer and Sturmgeschütz units which have fought in Finland from the beginning of the "Jatkosota" (Continuation War) in the summer of 1941 to the most critical moments in June-July 1944.
The German Panzer and Sturmgeschütz units covered in the text and photographs include:
Sturmgeschütz-Batterie 741
Sturmgeschütz-Batterie 742
Sturmgeschütz-Brigade 303
Sturmgeschütz-Abteilung 1122
